Welcome to my Galleries. I love to focus on tiny details, light and shadow in my images. Creating mandalas from my original images add another layer of visual interest. I am inspired by nature and love finding beauty in ordinary things.
Macro photography is most definitely my place of Zen and I can spend hours focusing on details of a flower or wandering around a garden, completely losing track of time. I consider my time with a macro lens “macro therapy”. It is very calming and if I am really stressed out or feeling lost, shooting macro has a way of calming me down.
Mandala is a Sanskrit word (meaning literally “circle”) and is a spiritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism representing the universe. I always feel centered and grounded when I look at them! They are created from my original images. I look for interesting color combinations and areas of high contrast as they make the most interesting mandalas :-)
